Event Overview
The Calgary Beginning Teachers' Conference will be held at the Best Western Premier Calgary Plaza Hotel & Conference Centre, October 2–3, 2026. Substitute teachers should not attend the Beginning Teachers Conference but should plan to attend the Substitute Teachers Conference, October 16(eve)-17, 2026. (Substitute Teachers' Conference | Alberta Teachers' Association).
Registration is open to teachers in their first two years of classroom teaching who have not previously attended the conference and those teachers new to teaching in the province. Early registration is appreciated as space is limited. Teachers who live south of Red Deer should register for the Calgary conference. Teachers who live in Red Deer and north should register for the Edmonton conference at https://reg.unityeventsolutions.com/se/2026BTCEDMONTON/ATT.
Full participation on both days is expected to ensure registrants receive the greatest benefit from the conference.
